Local wedding guide •Old Marylebone Town Hall • Fun, colourful, candid wedding photography
Elegant, colourful, people-first wedding photography at one of London’s most iconic town halls (without it feeling stiff or overly serious). We’re Andy & Szerdi, London wedding photographers, and Old Marylebone Town Hall is a venue we’ve photographed at loads over the years. It’s classic, central, and endlessly popular! And when it’s done well, it doesn’t have to look like every other wedding shot there! Our approach here is simple: photos that feel relaxed, human, and full of personality. Still elegant, still timeless, just with a bit more life and a little less Vogue in them.
If you’re planning an Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding and want photos that still feel like you, you’re in the right place.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to shoot your wedding!

There’s a range of ceremony rooms here, from smaller, more intimate spaces through to grander rooms for bigger guest lists. What they all have in common is that they photograph beautifully without you having to try too hard. High ceilings, good light, and loads of yummy architectural detail. You can just be present (which helps enormously).
The front steps are iconic. Everyone knows them. Everyone wants that moment there! Confetti, hugs, just-married chaos. The thing to know is: Old Marylebone Town Hall is busy. There are often weddings booked back-to-back, which can make that moment feel a bit rushed if you don’t plan for it.
If having the steps to yourselves matters to you, book the first ceremony slot on a weekday morning. You’ll often have the stairs to yourselves, without being hurried along by the next wedding party. It makes a massive difference! Not just for photos, but for actually being able to pause, breathe, and enjoy it.

Set on Marylebone Road, the Town Hall is incredibly well connected, and surrounded by places that make carrying on the celebration very easy. There are loads of great pubs, wine bars and restaurants nearby for a post-ceremony drink or meal (the kind where everyone can just wander over together rather than being herded). It’s central London, but it doesn’t feel chaotic, which is a surprisingly rare combo.
Because it’s so popular, Old Marylebone Town Hall can feel busy at peak times. The good news is that there are some genuinely lovely, quieter spots just off the main areas if you want a few calm moments.
We know where to slip away for:
It’s not about going far, it’s about knowing when and where to move.

Old Marylebone Town Hall often attracts a very editorial style of photography which can be highly posed, very polished, sometimes a bit serious. While it always looks epic, that’s not really our thing.
As Old Marylebone Town Hall wedding photographers, we tend to prioritise real interactions, natural movement, colour, warmth, and personality. And most importantly, moments that actually happened, not ones that were manufactured.
The result is work that still feels elegant and timeless just with a bit more real life in it.
We’ll guide you when it helps, step back when it matters, and make sure your photos reflect how the day felt, not just how it looked.

We’re always happy to talk this through.
Yes! But for good reason! It’s one of the most popular town hall wedding venues in London. There are often several weddings happening on the same day, sometimes back-to-back. That’s not a bad thing, but it does mean a little planning (and experience) goes a long way in keeping things feeling relaxed.
Definitely. It works brilliantly for intimate weddings as well as larger guest lists. The smaller rooms still feel elegant and considered, rather than lost in a big building. In fact, it’s probably our most popular venue for couples wanting intimate weddings! A lot of couples book short coverage: ceremony, group photos, couple portraits, and a few moments with guests. It’s often more than enough for a meaningful record of the day, especially if you’re keeping things simple and centred around people.
Yes. The building has step-free access and lifts. If accessibility is important for you or your guests, it’s always worth flagging this with the venue in advance so everything runs smoothly. The staff there are super lovely and will always go out of their way to assist both you and your guests.
They absolutely are! They photograph beautifully and give you that instantly recognisable “just married” moment. They’re especially great for confetti, hugs, and slightly chaotic joy (the good kind). And if the busy is too overstimulating for you, there are some genuinely lovely quieter spots nearby. Because we’ve worked here a lot, we know where to go for calmer couple photos without disappearing for ages or making it feel like a mission.
We LOVE shooting weddings at Old Marylebone Town Hall for couples who want a wedding that’s in a great part of London and want a wedding that best reflects them as a couple!
