A relaxed, joy-filled East London wedding with bubbles, vegan food trucks, hilarious speeches, and a whole lot of heart.
Emmy and Sam threw the most perfectly East London wedding! It was relaxed, warm, and centred entirely around the people and things they love. Their day began with a ceremony at Shoreditch Town Hall before heading over to one of our favourite local venues, Motel Studios in Hoxton, for a laid-back celebration that felt completely them.
Shoreditch Town Hall is such a brilliant ceremony venue in a great part of East London, especially for couples who want something full of character without feeling formal or stiff. Emmy and Sam’s ceremony was heartfelt, funny, and full of warmth. It was the perfect start to their day.
After the ceremony, they shared bubbles with all their guests in the Town Hall and that set the tone beautifully before everyone headed off to continue celebrating.
Before the reception, we took a walk from Shoreditch to Hoxton for some quintessentially East London couple photos. Wandering through the streets together, chatting and laughing, felt like a natural pause in the day. No posing, no pressure, just the two of them with the city they love as the backdrop.
The reception at Motel Studios was everything a modern East London wedding should be, welcoming, relaxed, and full of great energy. It’s a space that really shines when couples lean into doing things their own way, and Emmy and Sam absolutely did. And the team there are absolutely phenomenal!
Instead of a traditional sit-down meal, guests were treated to an excellent line-up of vegan food trucks serving churros, tacos, and pizza. It kept things casual, social, and delicious. Exactly the vibe they wanted.
This wasn’t our first time photographing a wedding at Motel Studios, and it reminded us all over again why we love it so much. It’s a venue that suits couples who want their wedding to be a bit more arty and unique in the heart of East London. Perfect for a joyful gathering rather than a formal event.
