Once Lou qualified as a doctor in the UK, she decided she wanted to give something back working at a rural hospital somewhere in Africa. She ended up in Mkuze, a place in the middle of nowhere near the borders of Swaziland and Mozambique. A couple months after arriving there, she met Matt who ended up at the same hospital to do his medical internship. After a night out at their “local”, the Mkuze Cricket Club, they ended up at the town’s one and only petrol station and Wimpy, Lou just wanted some chips, but ended up with a boyfriend. While a Wimpy may not be the most romantic location for a first kiss, it was the start for these two incredible human’s life together. Surrounded by all their friends from both South Africa and the UK, they got married at the Ghost Mountain Inn, a place they used to frequent while they lived in Mkuze. Their wedding was truly everything the start of a marriage should be, full of love, warmth and laughter. Lou and Matt, you guys are awesome.
Returning to the exact location of the first kiss was a magically nostalgic moment to be a part of.
