Previously KNOT JUST PICS. Same shit, different name.

When Andy first contacted me about their Durban city wedding at the Plant and S43, that was going to be all about awesome vibes and some epic takkie squeaking with their people, we were sold! We love a good urban wedding, and love an amazing couple with incredible chemistry even more. To say it rained a bit, is putting it mildly, it p*ssed, HARD, for pretty much the entire day. When Andy and I chatted about it earlier in the week that there was a chance it may bucket down for their wedding, all she said was how her and Kern loved the rain, so this was perfect. Their industrial/botanical vibe was executed amazingly and (my) Andy and I almost lost our minds shooting all their amazing details. After their ceremony, we somehow got about a 20 minute window of it not monsooning, which was just long enough to get some snaps of these epic humans.  I am not even joking when I say that we were totally in love with their wedding, and if it couldn’t get any better, it ended with a beyond insane dance party with (partial) male nudity, the worm and some amazing 90s pop hits. Andy and Kern, truly, you are two epic human beings and if your married life is going to be anything as good as your wedding was, its going be one hell of a party!

  • Technicolor sunset, twinkly city lights and two ridiculously in love people. Perfection.
  • When I say Jane and Dale make good dresses, I mean it 😍 @mccarthywolff consistently knocking it out of the park (is that the correct sporting phrase?)
It was such a delight being with their creative awesome alongside the incredible Wadene from @nixonmakeup for this shoot. @hudkitten you’re pretty babelicious too 😍
  • I’m not even sorry how many of these I’m going to share ☺️💜
  • Can’t get over this level of babeness 🔥
  • Last night was a special kind of magic. Leigh and Misha, you have the most awesome love to be around. @mccarthywolff not only do we love you two humans, but that dress was next level! @wadene07 (for @nixonmakeup ) you absolute gem! Hair and MU were utter perfection!
  • Kids at weddings.
  • Getting ready for some more city shooting, and I am ex.ci.ted! 🔥
  • Moments in the morning. Clean, perfect rooms, perfume bottle and shoes perfectly lined up for an arty photo, bridesmaids on best behavior....nah none of that’s the real good stuff that goes on the morning of a wedding! If you just take a step back and watch, there are gems unfolding at every moment. Real, normal and way more beautiful.
  • A year ago we went for a run on a miserable rainy day, and about a block from our house I spotted a tiny white rabbit in the park. I walked over to him, he hopped up to me and I picked him up and carried him home. I found out from neighbours he had been abandoned in the park by a family who didn’t want the hassle of looking after their child’s ill-thought out pet (please feel free to ask me why rabbits are terrible pets for small children...) we planned to fix him up as he was quite sick, and to find him a home, but we didn’t expect that home to be ours. So a year later, happy gotcha-versary Stuart Little 🐰 you’re the most awesome little dude and I swear you’re more dog than bunny ☺️
  • If you didn’t play air guitar at your wedding, are you even really married?
  • A series of beautiful wedding ceremony moments.
  • Lauren, Andrew, a Knysna head and a view of where they got engaged.

  • This weekend exceeded all expectations! 🙌 Sooo many good bands, the friendliest people, and delicious veggie food. The mud and rain even made it a proper English festival experience 🌧 This was our first @downloadfest and we WILL be back! Thank you @the_szerd for enjoying the same noisy music as me and always being my band buddy 😘
  • This summer in Europe has been epic for bands so far! Another one from our “must-see” band list. Alice in Chains 🔥 Definite highlights were this song, Them Bones, and Nutshell, which Jerry Cantrell dedicated to Layne Stayley. Totes emosch 😥 @aliceinchains
  • I played bass for a long time and this man was my bass crush 😍 #justinchancellor was worth every second of the 20 year wait to watch this man play 🙌 ... and I got his plectrum ! That’s getting framed.
  • Tool 🙌 I waited 20 years to see this band and it finally happened last night in Berlin, of all places. They were a massive influence on my own band and were actually one of the reasons @the_szerd and I started dating over 15 years ago. I even played in a Tool tribute band back in the day. Excellent times!
  • People watching from the shade.
  • Exploring the narrow streets and alleyways of Stone Town, Zanzibar. This place reminds us so much of the old part of Jeddah with the African/Arab cross culture and architecture.
  • It may be “sun’s out, guns out”, but it’s “balls out” at sunset when the heat finally let’s up.
  • Excellent vibe on what’s left of the beach at high tide.
  • Ocean and people watching from a shadey spot. The guy on the right, dressed in tradition Masai garb, is David. We had along chat about tattoos before he sold me a bracelet.
  • Dear god it’s hot. But also quite nice.
  • Hello Zanzibar 🤗 Can’t wait to get in that water!
  • We’re a hazard when we’re walking the streets cus we’re always looking up and bumping into people. Obsessed with the beautiful Dutch architecture!
