When my old friend and phenomenal lifestyle and wedding photographer, Lana Pratt asked if we would be interested in doing a Workshop with her while we were in Perth earlier this year, and we jumped at the opportunity. When Two Worlds Collide was one part conceptual, one part practical workshop where we shared not only our philosophy around shooting but a whole bunch of practical bits that have literally taken us years of trial and error to figure out ourselves. We ended off the day with a live shoot with the most amazing real couple, Lauren and Boris who were beyond chilled having about 1o cameras in their faces, and didn’t even flinch when we took them into a tiger snake infested swamp – I’m going to pretend we weren’t shitting ourselves about the whole snake thing, us South Africans are no match for the seriousness of Ozzie wildlife! We are so privileged to have met and shared with such an amazing group of Perth photographers, and getting to shoot Lauren and Boris’ beautiful love was an incredible cherry on top!
