Priscilla and Alice reached out via Instagram to shoot their Hackney wedding. As someone who lives in this corner of East London too, I was immediately sold! That, and our shared love of our cats and love for the area we live in had me knowing before we even started that these babes were our sort of people!
We started the day at Hackney Town Hall for the legal bits. Pri wore the most stunning kimono as a nod to her Japanese heritage. There whole day was a genuinely beautiful fusion of Japanese, Irish and Brazilian culture, people and love.
The ceremony was emotional in the best way, with readings from some of their fave people. After that there was loads of confetti (obvs). We then headed across to Morito on Hackney Road for wine, tapas and small plates and some speeches. A long, relaxed lunch with your fave people is probably one of the best ways we can think of celebrating your wedding! The whole afternoon had this gorgeous energy and vibe. Loads of good food and people who clearly love each other like a lot, a lot.
After lunch we made our way over to London Fields on Mare Street to carry the party on into the evening. Not to be biased or anything, but East London really is the best backdrop for a wedding like this, and Hackney Town Hall one of our favourite places to start one.
Thank you so much for having me along. What an absolute joy of a day you absolute babes!
