When Nicola and Cam started planning their wedding, they knew they wanted something laid-back, outdoorsy, a bit alternative — and a lot of fun. They found their perfect set-up at Hadsham Farm, with its tipi and festival vibe setting the tone for a relaxed, sunshine-filled day surrounded by their favourite people. We were so lucky as the weather played along perfectly!
Their ceremony took place outside by the lake. It was officiated by a dear family member, which made it even more personal and heartfelt. Set against the beautiful, watery backdrop, it was genuine, emotional, and full of all the good stuff — just the way they wanted it.
After the ceremony, and an insane confetti tunnel, it was all about hanging out in the sun with their friends and family. Drinks, snacks and chats – the holy trinity of wedding reception goodness. Nicola and Cam had asked for photos that felt relaxed, real, and a bit different — which of course was right up our alley. Candid moments, laughter, and colour were the order of the day, and these two absolutely brought it. It was so great getting to play with them during their two short couple shoots and using some vintage lenses to get a fun feel to some of their pictures.
Nicola’s dress was absolute perfection — classic in shape, but with a big black bow that gave it a badass twist. I love it when people take on tradition and make it their own! Later, she switched things up with a second outfit and some white Docs to properly get the party started. Strong moves.
No rigid timelines, no “because you’re supposed to” traditions — just a properly good day that felt like them from start to finish. Exactly how it should be.
